怪獸教育
最近我用遊戲方式幫小朋友建立 english sense。
香港呢幾年非常流行 phonics，直頭變成常規課程。市面上嘅各式各樣英文課程，又話咁又話咁。效果係點？

我有一對孖仔學生，聰明，爸爸係新加坡人，醫生。我講 Wonders of the World 時，細路係咁話 "crunchy" "crunchy"，原來佢想講 "country"。R 放咗前面。真係笑死我！
串子經常可以寫一個完全無 vowels 嘅字！
好嘞！家長請我，我差唔多要由頭教過，但一星期只上一個至個半鐘。咁小時間，效果亦唔會快出現。
呢啲嘢根本應該學校教，點解重要額外每科一個老師㑭成千幾二千銀一個月？
1. 師資有問題。
• 好多官校老師老土教學。對聰明嘅同學忌諱，偏袒聽話嘅學生。醒嘅無心向學，錯嘅受到袒護繼續錯。
• 老師表達力有問題，特別係小學生會聽唔明或者聽錯。
• 講課超悶。
2. 大班教學同絶對升班。無論你有咩問題，老師都唔會針對性幫你。然後你帶著問題升班，唔會㑭你阻著下家。
3. 中產家長唔信任老師，要求老師執行佢哋嗰啲騎呢教育方法。
4. 課本內容悶爆！全部虛構故事，冇現實世界資訊。打開小學英文課本，八成是小明的故事。世界是怎樣的，就如巨人城外一樣，對小朋友來說是一個謎。自己去找答案吧！不過等等，明天中文默書，數學心算小測，還有英文寫作要交。還去嗎？

Putonghua and Cantonese
學生：Putonghua is not Chinese.
我：Putonghua is not Chinese? What is Chinese then?
學生：Cantonese is Chinese.
我：Cantonese is Chinese. Putonghua is not Chinese. What do mainland people speak?
學生：They speak Putonghua.
我：Chinese people speak Putonghua. And Putonghua is not Chinese. So Chinese people don't speak Chinese?
學生：(thinking ...) Oh, yes! Putonghua is Chinese.
我：Putonghua is not Chinese? What is Chinese then?
學生：Cantonese is Chinese.
我：Cantonese is Chinese. Putonghua is not Chinese. What do mainland people speak?
學生：They speak Putonghua.
我：Chinese people speak Putonghua. And Putonghua is not Chinese. So Chinese people don't speak Chinese?
學生：(thinking ...) Oh, yes! Putonghua is Chinese.
"Ice cream" or "ice-cream"?
我告訴學生兩者也是對。但今日，學生向我「投訴」她老師說她的 "ice-cream" 是錯的。
所以我說香港師資有問題，兼老土！經常把 preference (偏愛) 當成對錯。這種態度蔓延成長至今日的笨土與黃絲之中。

我另一個 p3 學生在閱讀理解中作 short answers 時，因為第一個字母大草了，老師就每個沒有句號的答案扣她半分。我要爆炸了！
