I've been trying to find
some clips on a Chinese mummy, miraculously preserved after 3,000
years. So I tried YouTube and come across a bunch of "stupid
americans" clips. Let's see how stupid we are (there may be some
English terms that EFL people may not be familiar with but that
doesn't mean you don't know the answer. So don't be too upset if you
don't have everything right.):
1. Name a country
that begins with U.
2. Who is the coalition of the willing?
3.
What's the religion of Israel?
4. What religion are Budhist
monks?
5. Who won the Vietnam war?
6. Who is Fidel Castro?
7. How many sides does a triangle have?
8. What is the
currency used in the United Kingdom?
9. Kofi Anan is a drink,
true or false?
10. Who is Tony Blair?
11. Which countries are
in the axis of evil?
12. Who was the first man on the moon?
13.
What is a mosque?
14. How many kidneys does a person have?
15.
What is a collateral damage?
16. How many World Wars have there
been?
17. Which state does KFC come from?
18. Stars War is
based on a true story. True or false?
19. What are Hiroshima and
Nagasaki famous for?
20. How many Eiffel Towers are there in
Paris?
21. What is Al Qaeda?
22. Where was the Berlin Wall?
23. The language they speak in Latin-America is Latin. True or
false?
Allow me to add one
question: 24. How many stomach does a cow have? (If you don't know
this one, you should be upset.)
And then there's a test
of countries in a world map (atlas). The American were pointing
everywhere but the right place. Some can't even find their own
country. Maybe they just can't read map. Trust me, even the grade 10
kid whom I'm teaching doesn't know some of them. Pathetic!
Then watch "20/20
Stupid America". (Reminds me of the knowledge contest between Al
Gore and Bush.) The teacher union set up a system that even a pervert
can't be fired. These people fiercely defend themselves with, of
course, stupidity. I'm really curious where [school] these people
send their kids to. Afterall, Hong Kong stupid education system isn't
so bad. ...Mm...
